The campus bookstores required a new batch of merchandising logos with a distinct collegiate aesthetic that could stand apart but still include elements from NIC’s corporate brand. I created a Vancouver Island outline with the borders of the regional districts and combined it with a script face we had used on previous clothing items. The NIC logo reproduced well on thermoses, enamel camping cups, notebooks and backpacks.
For the NIC hearts co-op logo, I created a distressed circular logo that could be used on insulated lunch bags, t-shirts and frisbees. These materials promote co-op work experience placements which NIC’s Student Employment Services (SES) sets up. They are handed out at job fairs and the t-shirts worn by SES staff at events.
